I know Chris to be a professional dog trainer, and a very good one. I recently read his book, Pawriffic Training. I learned so much, the book is very informative, and easy to understand. We have two yorkies, therefore it is a great help to us in training them. The good thing about having this book is that we can go back and review any chapter as need be. I highly recommend it to everyone, weather you own a dog or not, if you have family or friends with dogs, you will find this book very helpful.
Chris was writing this book while we were in classes with him and he would hand out sections as homework. Thanks to Chris and his simple techniques everywhere Ravi (my chihuahua) goes; whether to the groomer, the vet, or the dog park, we hear the same refrain, "That is the best behaved chihuahua I have ever seen" or "I never knew a chihuahua could behave so well." This book is fantastic basic obediance training. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in improving their own and their dog's lives.
We used Chris as our trainer for our 6 month old Rottweiler who was having some behavior issues and being stubborn to training. His easy methods not only made training her easy, but fun too. Her bad behavior turned around immediately as soon as we started with her training. Another trainer (who worked with show-dogs) worked for 2 hours trying to get our girl to down (with a choke collar), Chris did it in 5 minutes - with much less pain - treats only!
Even my 5 year old girl was able to do training with our rottie. Chris showed her how to do "puppy push-ups", which is not only fun for her, but creates a great bond between child and dog.
Chris really knows what he's doing and is a great trainer.
This is an excellent read. Chris's Brown trained 3 of our dogs and we just signed up our new puppy! If you are in the Middletown/Orange County, Ny area he is the trainer for you. Knowledgeable and patient. Our Yellow Lab that Chris trained is on the cover of Pawriffic! Buy the book, great training guide!

If you live near Middletown NY, Chris is a very good trainer.
